ITINERARY OF: AFFORDABLE 10 DAYS TOUR FROM TANGIER TO MARRAKECH

We will begin our journey after meeting you at the agreed-upon location, driving via the Rif mountains and Tetoun city, taking in the breathtaking views of the mountains until we arrive in Chefchaouan. It is, in reality, one of the most beautiful settlements at the foot of the Rif Mountains. The medina of Chefchaouen featured a Spanish-style square surrounded by many eccentric arts and crafts boutiques, roof-top restaurants and cafes where you may spend your night in a beautiful area to enjoy the breeze and nature’s beauty.

After breakfast in the riad, we’ll depart for Volubilis, passing via Wazan and other rif villages. So, in Volubilis, we will explore the Roman ruins and learn about the archeological site of Moroccan history. After the ruins, we will travel to Meknes, a 17th century heritage city, where we will stop for lunch and walk around the historical huge walls of the medina, bab el mansour, and visit Moulay Ismail’s shrine. We will drive straight to Fes city after our tour to Meknes, where you will spend the night in a riad.

After breakfast at your riad, you will begin your exploration of Morocco’s oldest city, going through its lanes and small streets. As a result, our tour begins with a visit to the Royal Palace entrance, the Jewish headquarters, and the first Mellah ever erected in Morocco, which was constructed in the 16th century. First and foremost, we will ensure that you visit all cultural and historical sites of significance, including the famous Al Qaraouine University, the region’s oldest, the Tanneries, the Attarine museum, and the Mulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, you’ll continue your Morocco Tours Tangier by seeing a tile cooperative and then taking in a breathtaking panoramic view of Fes’ Medina.

On this day, we will begin our journey to the southeast through the Middle Atlas, passing through Ifrane, “Moroccan Switzerland,” and Azrou, where we will visit the famous cedar forest, Morocco’s largest, to observe and play with Barbary apes. We continue south from here, passing through various towns and stopping to see nomads living in tents along the way. Then we’ll make a pit stop in Midelt, where you’ll have lunch. Later, we’ll continue on to Merzouga over the Tizi N’Talghomt Pass (1907m), where we’ll take in the panoramic views. Along the Ziz River, you’ll also have the opportunity to stop for a panoramic view of the Aoufous palmeraie. We’ll proceed to Erg Chebbi’s mesmerizing dunes at the conclusion of the day, where you’ll spend the night in a Riad or Hotel.

After breakfast in your riad, go for a walk about the neighborhood before heading out on your camel ride; you’ll meet the Gnawa people, who are from Mali, Senegal, and Sudan, in their town of Khamlia, where you’ll learn about their music and way of life. Later, we’ll take a journey through the desert to meet nomad families and learn about their way of life. Our lunch today will be a classic Berber dish (Berber pizza). You will also have the option of seeing the old city of Rissani, which is the birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty, Morocco’s current governing royal family. Rissani is surrounded by 360 ksar (fortified villages with several towers) and has a large souk (open market) that takes place three times a week. This was once known as Sijilmassa, and it was where the salt caravans from Mali’s Tombouctou met. You’ll take a stroll through the souk, which sells spices, veggies, and clothing. Return to Merzouga village by car. In the afternoon, you’ll ride your camel with an expert camel-man to see what’s buried deep within Morocco’s highest sand dunes. Dinner will be served in front of the tent where you’ll be sleeping.

We will return on camels to our Hotel or Riad in the morning after watching the dawn over the Saharan dunes and eating breakfast. We’ll then travel through Rissani, Alnif, and Todra Gorge. We will enjoy a rock canyon and a traditional Moroccan meal while we are there. Before heading to Dades Valley for dinner and lodging, we take a short walk around the gorge.

We’ll travel through the Dades Valley to Kalaa M’gouna and Ouarzazate after breakfast. The route through Dades Valley is known as the “Kasbah Road” since it passes past a thousand kasbahs. It offers several possibilities to capture some of your trip’s best picture moments. Later, we’ll have lunch at Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, Morocco’s largest Kasbah, which was erected by T-Hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chieftains, at the turn of the century. It was one of his stops on his journey from the Sahara to Marrakech. The Kasbah is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After that, we’ll change our route to cross the high Atlas Mountains, which are full of panoramic views and charming Berber communities, all the way to Marrakech. Then spend the night in a luxurious riad in the medina.

We explore Marrakech ” the red city of Morocco” in the morning after breakfast in the riad. We will ensure that you view the most important historical and cultural attractions. The Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, the Saadian tombs, and the Bahia Palace come first. After lunch at a café near the plaza, you’ll stroll around the souks, where you’ll see hundreds of handicrafts. You will have some free time in the afternoon to explore the rest of the city on your own. Stay at a riad for the night.

After breakfast in your riad, you will travel to Essaouira, a coastal city on the Moroccan coast, to explore the city. We’ll make a point of visiting the Skala Fortress, where we’ll witness Thuya wood carved by artists. Then take a stroll around the medina’s alleyways to see hundreds of handicrafts. Surfers from all over the world flock to this “City of the Wind.” Many civilizations have passed through Essaouira, including the Portuguese occupation. As a result, they have an impact on most of the community’s architecture; yet, it remains a little village with a rich past. Because of its size, as well as its distinctive blue doors and whitewashed walls. It is often referred to as Morocco’s “Atlantic Jewel.” As a result, you’ll also pay a visit to the Argan oil women’s cooperative. They extract the oil, which is well-known for its culinary, cosmetic, and medicinal qualities. Lunch will be prepared in the traditional Moroccan manner, with fresh fish “cooked to order” at the fish market. Then you’ll return to Marrakech in the afternoon. Finally, spend the night at your riad.

Transfer to Casablanca or Marrakech airport, hence the end of our Morocco Tours Tangier.
