We’ll leave the riad after breakfast and go to Essaouira via Agadir. Our first stop will be in Agadir, a resort city that has long been a popular tourist destination. You’ll continue to Essaouira after lunch and a short walk along the Promenade. The beachfront route offers stunning views and is known for its Argan plants. Today’s lunch will be served in a Moroccan style, with freshly purchased fish ‘prepared to order.’ You will have some free time in the afternoon to stroll around, go to the beach, and enjoy some alone time. Essaouira, commonly known as the “City of the Wind,” is a popular destination for surfers from all over the world. Essaouira has seen several civilizations – including the Portuguese occupation, which has left an indelible mark on the city’s architecture – yet it is still a little community steeped in history. It is also known as Morocco’s “Jewel of the Atlantic” due to its size and distinctive blue doors and washed walls.
